History
The family Herwig comes from the area of Steinbach-Hallenberg and is today producing tools and small iron articles in the seventh generation. This historical tradition is for us claim and obligation, to continue the long tradition by the development of drills and the production of constructively and technologically optimized tools.

The work 1 of the main factory in Schmalkalden in the street "Asbacher Straße" has got 2.200 employees. The "Werkzeugkombinat" is the largest tool producer in germany with approximately 15.000 employees.
